Well, today was full of busy nothings. I watched Owen and Liam (Herb & Kelly Kellogg's boys) while she went to a sealing. Charlotte has had a cold and has been congested and she knows she can not eat or take her pacifier if her nose is plugged up. The problem is that even after I saline & suction and she is clear, I can not get her to latch on when she is starving. So this morning, with the boys wondering why I was torturing Charlotte and she has learned the arching her back so you can't move her defense...I planned a sneak attack and put her in the "football" position and she latched right on. But, then I thought she would go to sleep...no, she decided to play in Liam's crib for an hour before she went to sleep. She has just started that this week and I have surrendered due to the fact that she is occupied and happy. Meanwhile, I visited with Kelly while Charlotte finished her nap.
Next, I decided to spoil my self with a slushy from sonic (seeing it was happy hour and all). Then I picked up Nicholas (who had been at seminary in-service all day) and we went all around town. This cute little hang out "Lolli Cup" where Nicholas found his new favorite drink. And Target. I thought multiple times Charlotte would fall asleep in the car. Of course not. As soon as we arrived home around 5, with plans to go to a reception at 7:30, She wanted to eat and the I layed her down and she fell asleep-after playing for 10 minutes-no problem. :-D I knew she would wake up anywhere between 6 & 7. She cried at 7 and ate and stayed asleep. I was not about to wake her up and have a sick grumpy girl at the reception. So instead, here I am writing a blog about the nothings that happened today.
In addition, I believe this is the longest blog I have written, and I apologize it is quite uneventful. Yet, I know someone will read and understand what stage of life I am in. I love the beautiful girl the Lord gave me to learn to take care of, and I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be her mother. I can not believe it has been 6 months! Oh how excited I am for the eternity to come!
